Ashley Standish Higgins, 19, went missing on November 6, 1982, from Costa Mesa, California. At the time of her disappearance, she had recently graduated from Newport Harbor High School and lived independently in an apartment. Her disappearance occurred shortly after a trip to Las Vegas with a female friend, who reported that they became separated during the trip. The friend returned to California without Ashley and claimed to be unaware that Ashley had not made it back home.
