Leah Denise Calabrese, 29 years old at the time of her disappearance, was last seen on October 24, 1992, in Winter Garden, Florida. Her father dropped her off at the intersection of East Plant Street and Hennis Road that morning. Leah had told him she planned to help a friend clean a house and would call for a ride later. However, she never called and was last possibly sighted later that day in the 11th Street area.
Despite occasional absences due to her lifestyle, which included struggling with a crack cocaine addiction and working as a prostitute, she maintained regular contact with her family, making her sudden disappearance alarming.
Leah was battling bipolar disorder, for which she took daily medication. Her family reported her missing after they were unable to reach her for an extended period. Although she had a history of dropping out of contact, Leah's complete silence after this date led to suspicions of foul play. Investigators have long suspected that her disappearance might be connected to her social circle or lifestyle, but no substantial leads have been found. Leah's case remains unsolved, and she has been listed as an endangered missing person.
The Winter Garden Police Department continues to investigate her case, and Leah has been entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs). Despite extensive efforts, including reviewing potential matches with unidentified remains and following numerous leads, there has been no resolution to the case.Last Seen: Oct 24, 1992
