Wilber Elmer McMillan, aged 66, was last seen in Trenton, Michigan, on March 2, 1997. He left his home between midnight and 5 a.m. on what was supposed to be a special day, his and his wife's 40th wedding anniversary. At the time, he was carrying his house and car keys, wallet, and $70 in cash. McMillan, who had retired from Great Lakes Steel in 1994, had struggled with depression after leaving his job.
