Xu Wang, a 39-year-old doctor at Rush-Copley Medical Center, went missing on August 10, 1999, from Darien, Illinois. She was last seen leaving her home to go to work that morning, but she never arrived. Her red 1994 Toyota Camry was found hours later, abandoned on a gravel parking strip near the Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve, approximately five miles from her home. Her backpack, which contained her credit cards, was locked inside the vehicle.
