Michael Jeffrey Barker, a 35-year-old man from Seattle, went missing on July 10, 2000, while kayaking on the Cascade River near Marblemount, Washington. He was an experienced outdoorsman and was last seen navigating the waters of the Cascade River, but he never returned from the trip. His kayak and body were never recovered, and it is presumed that he drowned in the river.
