John David Smith, 53, was last seen on February 15, 2001, in Springfield, Missouri. He disappeared under suspicious circumstances, and his case remains unsolved. Smith's disappearance is closely tied to that of his girlfriend, Maureen Webb, who went missing the following day. Webb's black 1990 Ford Aerostar van was later found abandoned at a local mall, but there has been no trace of either her or Smith since.
