Cawana Logan, an 18-year-old resident of Deland, Florida, went missing on April 29, 2002. She was last seen attending a party in DeLeon Springs, a nearby town. After the party, Logan vanished without a trace, and she has not been heard from since. Her disappearance took a troubling turn when, a few days later, her purse was found discarded near her home on South Salisbury Avenue, along with all her personal belongings inside.
Logan was described as a friendly and outgoing individual, with plans to complete her high school equivalency degree at Daytona Beach Community College in 2002. She had also recently begun working at the Duvall Home, where she helped care for developmentally disabled individuals. Her sudden disappearance was considered highly suspicious, as it was uncharacteristic of her to leave without notifying her family or taking any of her personal belongings.
Law enforcement has treated Logan's case as an endangered missing person case, suspecting foul play due to the unusual circumstances surrounding her disappearance. Although some reports suggest she may have returned to her residence after the party, the lack of communication and evidence of her whereabouts has left the case unsolved.
