In May of 2005, a 20-year-old male named Jonathan Granison-Bradley, also known as Johnny, disappeared from Rochester, New York, leaving behind a life marked by significant health challenges and a close-knit family. Jonathan had a difficult medical history, having accidentally ingested oven cleaner at the age of five. This incident necessitated approximately fifteen reconstructive surgeries on his esophagus and digestive tract, leaving him with multiple surgical scars on his chest and abdomen and in a state of poor health that required ongoing medication to sustain his life. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a Black male, 5'9" and 145 pounds, with black hair styled in braids and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and burgundy pullover jacket, a yellow striped shirt, faded blue jeans, and brown Timberland work boots. The circumstances leading to Jonathan's disappearance began on May 4, 2005, when he checked into a hospital in Rochester. After an overnight stay, he was discharged at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 5, 2005, but he never returned to his grandparents' home where he resided. At the time, he was driving his grandmother's car because his own was being repaired. This vehicle was later found abandoned, but in running condition, just two blocks from his father's residence in Rochester. According to his father, the family located the car themselves and reported it to the authorities, but the vehicle was not towed for three days. Adding to the perplexing nature of the case, two days after he was last seen, his credit card was used in Miami, Florida, to purchase fast food and to attempt to rent a car. Jonathan was described by his father as a loner, with his cousin being one of his only close friends. Despite this, he was said to be close to his family, making his sudden and uncharacteristic disappearance all the more concerning. Since he went missing, he has not refilled any of his life-sustaining medications, and the Social Security payments he had been receiving were never collected. The investigation into his disappearance has been handled by the Rochester Police Department. Over the years, there have been no confirmed sightings of Jonathan, and his case remains an unsolved and painful mystery for his family who continue to seek answers.
