Santos Carcamo, a 51-year-old man, was last seen on January 15, 2006, while passing through Brownsville, Texas. Santos had been migrating through Texas when he reportedly became ill and started vomiting. Witnesses claim he was left near a farm where the sound of cows could be heard. There are unconfirmed reports that he may have last been seen in Sarita, Texas, further complicating the investigation.
Despite efforts by authorities, no trace of Santos has been found since that day.
It is suspected that he may have succumbed to the harsh elements of the area, but no definitive evidence has surfaced to confirm his fate. At the time of his disappearance, Santos was described as a Hispanic man with gray hair, standing between 5'7" and 5'9", and weighing between 100 and 300 pounds. He was last seen wearing jeans and tennis shoes, and it is believed he was carrying a piece of paper with a Florida area code phone number.
