In the summer of 2009, a young man named Javier Alejandro Coronel Valdez, just 17 years old, embarked on a perilous journey with hopes of reaching Tucson, Arizona. Known affectionately as 'Toyo,' Javier was last seen on June 23, 2009. His last known location was near San Simon Village, an area likely on the Tohono O'odham Reservation in Pima County, as he attempted to cross the U.S.-Mexico border.
