Gregoria Jacobo Martinez, a 29-year-old woman, was last seen on July 13, 2009, in Nacogdoches, Texas. She had planned to visit the county courthouse to obtain copies of her children's birth certificates but never arrived. Martinez, a mother of two, was living in the United States illegally at the time, and her children were in Mexico visiting their grandmother.
Before her disappearance, she had asked one of her children's fathers for money to help bring them back home, and he agreed to lend her the funds. However, she went missing shortly after this meeting.
Her vehicle was discovered abandoned on the side of County Road 525 near U.S. Highway 59, with no signs of struggle at the scene. Despite extensive searches, she has not been found. Authorities believe that Martinez may have been taken against her will and suspect foul play, although no suspects have been publicly identified. Both fathers of her children were questioned, but neither has been named as a suspect.
