On February 18, 2011, 53-year-old Margaret Mary Kohler, a resident of Waldport, Oregon, told friends she was going for a walk with her dog, a five-year-old lab/collie mix named Roscoe. An acquaintance reported her missing on February 20th when she failed to return home. The last known location for Margaret was believed to be in the Florence area of Lane County, where she was thought to be hiking or possibly truffle hunting in the Siuslaw National Forest.
