Emerson Hernandez Galeano, a 20-year-old from McAllen, Texas, was last seen on March 10, 2012. On that day, Emerson texted his mother, informing her that he was in Reynosa, Mexico, and planned to cross the border into the U.S. the following day. According to reports, Emerson crossed the Rio Grande with a group but struggled physically during the journey. After about three and a half hours of walking, Emerson fainted.
