Mary Lou Bostwick, age 15, was last seen on July 17, 1972, in Waverly, New York. Her father had dropped her off at a friend's apartment on Broad Street, where she was supposed to babysit. However, when her mother arrived three days later with a birthday cake for her 16th birthday, the occupants of the apartment said Mary Lou had never arrived to babysit. Her belongings, including a change of clothes, were found at the apartment, but there was no sign of her.
