Dwayne Alexander DiCicco, 25, disappeared on August 13, 1974, in Kalispell, Montana. He was last seen working as a heavy equipment operator in Columbia Falls, a few miles from his home. DiCicco, a Vietnam War veteran, had relocated to Montana a few years earlier and had recently celebrated his first wedding anniversary. His sudden disappearance raised concerns, especially after he failed to follow up on a routine call with his mother.
In 1975, convicted serial killer Thomas Eugene Creech confessed to killing DiCicco, claiming he had been hired by a motorcycle gang to commit the crime. Creech initially stated that he shot DiCicco and disposed of his body in Lake Sammamish, Washington, though he later changed his story, suggesting the body was hidden in a cave.
However, no concrete evidence was ever found to substantiate Creech’s claims, and police were unable to locate DiCicco’s remains. Despite Creech's involvement in other murders, his inconsistent confessions have left DiCicco's case unresolved.
