Jeremy Coots, a 4-year-old boy from Atchison, Kansas, was last seen on February 18, 1977. Jeremy, who had a severe hearing impairment, was at his babysitter's home playing outside with the babysitter's son. This was the first time Jeremy had been allowed to play outside without constant supervision, and he wandered away, heading toward the east.
