Marcia Lynn Joyce, 28 years old, disappeared on August 30, 1978, from her home on Everson Goshen Road in Bellingham, Washington. That morning, she was at home with her two young children, hanging laundry in the backyard. When her son went outside to find her, Marcia was gone. She has not been seen since. Her husband, who had gone into town to make a withdrawal from their family bank account, later discovered that someone had emptied the account, likely days before Marcia's disappearance.
