David Robert Hursell, 24, was last seen on January 12, 1987, in El Dorado County, California. Hursell disappeared under suspicious circumstances, and over the years, Robert Charles Comer emerged as the prime suspect in his case. Comer, a convicted murderer, confessed to killing Hursell while on death row in 1999. He claimed to have abducted Hursell at gunpoint, bound him, and shot him near Georgetown, California, before disposing of his body.
