In the autumn of 1987, a 56-year-old migrant farm laborer named Luis Contreras vanished from the area near Roundhill, Virginia. He was last seen on November 15, 1987, walking in the vicinity of Hill High Orchards, specifically from the migrant worker barracks situated in the 35200-block of Harry Byrd Highway. Concerns for his well-being grew when he had not been seen by the morning of November 16, 1987.
