Randall David Ward, age 58, went missing on June 28, 2011, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He had left his home in Minnesota for a bucket-list motorcycle trip and rented a 24-foot boat from Bahia Mar Resort. When he failed to return the boat by evening, a search was initiated. The boat was found adrift, seven miles offshore, with mechanical issues and a rope tangled around the propeller.
