In the winter of 2023, concern grew for a 51-year-old man from St. Louis, Missouri, named Martezes A. Hinton. On the morning of January 10th, he was last seen at approximately 8:00 AM. Martezes, who was also known by the names Jason Clay and Ted Hinton, mentioned that he was on his way to catch a bus, a simple, everyday statement that marked the beginning of a prolonged and painful mystery for his loved ones.
