Moise Shadrack James III, a 68-year-old U.S. Army veteran, was last seen on the morning of April 30, 2015, in Darlington, South Carolina. He left his home around 7:30 a.m. on his daily ride, using a dark blue women's bicycle. Moise, who suffered from dementia, was reported missing the following day when he did not return home. A search effort was quickly organized, but two days later, his bicycle was found abandoned in the Dovesville area of Darlington County, with no sign of Moise nearby.
