Sargon Howard Rose, a 7-year-old boy from Vista, California, has been missing since July 15, 2012. Sargon was abducted by his non-custodial father, Edgar Rose, on his seventh birthday. Authorities believe that the father, along with Sargon and possibly his two half-brothers, Kevin and Morgan Rose, may have fled to Nevada or Mexico. They were possibly traveling in a red 1998 Chevrolet Astro van with California license plate number 5S71364.
Sargon, who is biracial (Hispanic and White), had brown hair and brown eyes at the time of his disappearance. He was approximately 4'1" tall and weighed around 60 pounds. His father, Edgar Rose, was 50 years old at the time and is a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico. Edgar has provided conflicting information regarding his whereabouts during the investigation, making it more difficult to track their location.
Efforts to locate Sargon have included age-progressed images that depict what he might look like as a teenager. Authorities and his mother continue to seek any leads that may help reunite Sargon with his family. His case remains open, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
