Lauren Ysabel Pena, age 32, was last seen on February 13, 2014, near Kernville, California. Lauren's vehicle was located a few days later on February 17 at McNally’s Fairview Lodge, a remote area near the Sequoia National Forest. Witnesses reported seeing Lauren with a backpack, inquiring about trailheads in the area. Despite these sightings, she was not believed to be adequately prepared for the rugged terrain or the winter weather conditions.
