An experienced hiker and YouTuber, Kenneth 'Kenny' Veach, disappeared on November 10, 2014, after telling his family he was going on a short, overnight trip into the Mojave Desert. His disappearance followed a peculiar claim he made in a YouTube comment about discovering a hidden cave with an entrance shaped like the letter
'M'. He wrote that as he approached the cave, his entire body began to vibrate, a sensation that grew more intense the closer he got, eventually scaring him away. This story garnered significant attention online, with many viewers encouraging him to return and document his findings.
Driven by the online response, Veach made at least one unsuccessful attempt to relocate the 'M cave,' which he documented in a video. Despite the encouragement of some, others posted ominous warnings, with one commenter telling him not to go back, stating, 'If you find that cave entrance, don't go in, you won't get out.' Undeterred, Veach planned another expedition. On November 10, 2014, he told his girlfriend he was going on another search for the cave. Several days later, after he failed to return, he was reported missing. Search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area near Nellis Air Force Base. They located his vehicle at the head of a trail in the Sheep Range. On November 22, searchers found his cell phone near an abandoned, vertical mineshaft, a considerable distance from where his car was parked.
Despite extensive search efforts, including helicopter flyovers and ground crews, no further trace of Kenneth Veach has ever been found. The mysterious circumstances of his disappearance have led to numerous theories.
