Joan Cecilia Scaggs, 53, was last seen on November 12, 1983, in Boulder Creek, California. That night, her two sons visited her cabin at the Redwood Rest Resort. After letting them in at around 2 a.m., Joan went to her bedroom, and her sons left, locking the door behind them. When they returned later in the morning, Joan was missing.
