Originally from Wisconsin, Haskell had moved to Florida after high school and was living with roommates near the Martin Square Mall at the time of his disappearance. He was last seen walking westbound on East Ocean Boulevard, far from his home. The last contact he had with his family was a phone call to his mother, during which he expressed a desire to return home to Wisconsin. His mother sent him $100 to buy a bus ticket, but Haskell never purchased the ticket and never made it home.
Haskell left behind his belongings, including a broken motorcycle, suggesting he may have been hitchhiking when he vanished. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gold chain with a cross. Despite investigations, no substantial leads have surfaced, and foul play has not been ruled out.
