In the summer of 1995, a 31-year-old man named David Ford, who was affectionately known by the nickname "Peanut," was living in a group home in Cincinnati, Ohio, due to a mental handicap. On July 6th of that year, he was seen outside in the yard, helping with some of the outdoor chores. This seemingly ordinary day took a distressing turn when David did not come back inside the residence and was never seen or heard from again. At the time he went missing, David was described as a Black / African American male, standing between 5'10" and 6'0" tall, and weighing between 175 and 180 pounds. He had black hair and brown eyes, and distinctive scars on his left arm and leg, as well as on his right leg. The initial investigation into David's disappearance was handled by the Silverton Police Department. However, in the years that followed, the Silverton Police Department merged with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, which then took over the case. Despite the passage of time, law enforcement has continued to keep David's case open, hoping for a breakthrough that might finally shed some light on what happened to him.
