Margaret Sherman, 27, was last seen on August 2, 1995, at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana. On that day, she left her residence on East Grace Street to get her car repaired and was never heard from again. Her parents reported her missing after she failed to show up for work at National City Bank. A few days later, her white 1990 Chevrolet Lumina was found abandoned in Greenwood, Indiana, but there were no signs of her.
Investigators found troubling evidence in her home, including bloodstains on her mattress, walls, ceiling, and other surfaces. DNA testing confirmed that the blood was Sherman's. Additionally, a large sum of money she had kept hidden in her freezer was missing, and a car cover from a disabled vehicle parked in her garage had disappeared as well. Despite this evidence, no charges have been filed, though her live-in boyfriend, Kenny Slate, was the last person to see her and has been a person of interest.
