In the quiet, rural community of Benton, Tennessee, the summer of 1996 was shattered by a grim discovery that left behind a lasting mystery. On June 8, 1996, 74-year-old Sadie Wallace Nelson, a female resident of Polk County, vanished without a trace. She and her 77-year-old boyfriend, John Burlie Pike, lived together on a farm located off Highway 411, where they served as joint caretakers of the property.
