Sadie Wallace Nelson, age 74, was last seen on June 8, 1996, in Benton, Tennessee, where she lived with her boyfriend, John Burlie Pike, on a farm north of the town. The next day, Pike was found dead in the driveway of their home, having been beaten and with his throat slit. However, the residence itself was undisturbed, and Nelson was missing.
