Benjamin Kalina, 27, disappeared from Superior, Colorado, on February 14, 2007, under concerning circumstances. He was reported missing after he failed to show up for work, prompting a friend to notify the authorities. At the time of his disappearance, Kalina was known to be struggling with mental health issues, as he left behind a suicide note in his vehicle, suggesting he may have been considering self-harm. Authorities also noted that he might have had a .40 caliber pistol in his possession.
