Anthony Amadeo Johnson, aged 52, was last seen on August 29, 2010, at his apartment on Lazy Way in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Johnson, who had multiple medical conditions, needed a cane to walk and could not travel long distances. He also experienced memory lapses and required daily medications, which he left behind at his residence, along with his luggage and a rental car. His disappearance is especially concerning as he had been acting distant and differently in the time leading up to the incident.
Johnson is distinctive due to his numerous tattoos, which cover most of his body. Some of his tattoos include three cowgirls on his lower leg, a female pirate on his abdomen, and the word "beatnick" across his abdomen. He also has significant medical hardware in his body, such as a titanium plate near his left eye and a rod in his leg, due to previous injuries from a motorcycle accident.
Despite extensive investigation, very little is known about the circumstances of Johnson’s disappearance. His case remains open, with authorities and loved ones seeking answers. The Lee County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the case, urging anyone with information to come forward.
