Melvin Alexander Gomez Alvarez, a 19-year-old from El Salvador, was last seen on February 19, 2015. He was part of a small group attempting to cross from Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, into McAllen, Texas. Before crossing the border, Melvin contacted his family from Reynosa to inform them that he was about to make the journey across the Rio Grande.
