Rebecca Paulk, a 26-year-old from Linden, Alabama, was last seen on September 7, 2015. She left her parents' home that day, saying she would return later, but she never did. Two days later, her abandoned vehicle, a 2006 Honda Civic, was discovered in a rural area near the Alabama-Mississippi border, in the Whynot community of Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Inside her car were her personal belongings, including her purse, laptop, and iPad, though her cellphone was missing.
The phone was later found about a mile away from the car.
Rebecca was reportedly last seen with a man named John Bentley Poisso Jr., in Meridian, Mississippi, according to surveillance footage from September 8. Poisso, who had a criminal history, was questioned and his property searched, but no evidence was found to link him to Rebecca's disappearance. Despite these efforts, her case remains unsolved, and no significant leads have emerged since.
