Lewis Richard Johnson, a 19-year-old from Virginia Beach, was last seen on February 22, 1978. He was leaving a friend’s house in a small red compact car. At the time, Lewis had been recovering from a brutal assault that left him with a broken leg, for which he was supposed to appear in court the following day. He never arrived at the court, and his disappearance has remained unsolved since. When he left the house, he did not take any belongings with him, further deepening the mystery.
