Peggy A. Johnson, a 36-year-old woman from Murphysboro, Illinois, was last seen on the evening of August 9, 1995. That night, she went out drinking at Gene's Tavern in Murphysboro with two local men. Later, they all went to a coworker's house in DeSoto, where Peggy continued drinking and eventually passed out.
