Marilou Medina Dunlap, aged 44, was last seen on April 27, 2002, in San Diego, California, though she lived in San Clemente. On that day, a friend spotted her near El Cajon Boulevard and the 805 Freeway. Marilou did not show up for her job the next morning in Mission Viejo, which raised concerns. She was driving a red 1997 Honda Civic, which was later found parked at her San Clemente residence. This led investigators to believe that something suspicious may have occurred. Her sudden disappearance was reported by her husband, who claimed to have last seen her early on April 26, the day before she was seen in San Diego.

Described as a petite woman, standing 4'11" and weighing around 100 pounds, Marilou was wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt with a collar, and black sandals with a small heel at the time she vanished. She carried a black purse and a black MTI cellular phone. Her four front teeth were capped, a detail that could help in identification efforts. Her loved ones emphasized that it was completely out of character for Marilou to leave without notifying anyone, which deepens the concern surrounding her case. As of now, Marilou's disappearance remains unsolved, and authorities continue to treat it as suspicious. The Orange County Sheriff's Department has been investigating, but no significant leads have emerged.
