In the quiet community near Florence, Kentucky, concern grew for Terry Hand, a 41-year-old man who had not been seen or heard from since January 6, 2013. His daughter, unable to make contact with him, reported him missing to the Boone County Sheriff's Office a couple of days later. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance were unsettling, as he had uncharacteristically failed to show up for his job at Jero Incorporated in Florence, and had not called to report his absence.
