In the late spring of 2013, Jonathan Eric Eiland, known to his friends as 'J.J.' or 'Bama,' was navigating a period of homelessness in Little Rock, Arkansas. At 44 years old, he had found a sense of camaraderie and routine in the company of his friend, 18-year-old Kasey Hudson.
