In the winter of 2014, 50-year-old Ronald Brady Breaux, known to some as Ronny, vanished from his home in Morgan City, Louisiana. He was last seen in the community on December 3, 2014, living on Highway 182 at the time. Standing between 6'3" and 6'5" and weighing around 165 to 180 pounds, Breaux was a noticeable figure with brown, often shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. He had a distinct scar on the inside of his left wrist and a previous injury to his ankle. Typically, he was known to wear blue jeans, though the clothes he was wearing when he disappeared are unknown. His disappearance was characterized by a lack of immediate alarm, as he was known to lead a transient lifestyle and had lived in various places throughout the southern United States. This contributed to a significant delay in anyone realizing something was wrong. It was not until over a year later, on December 15, 2015, that family members officially reported him missing to the Morgan City Police Department. By this time, the trail had grown cold, leaving investigators with very few leads. In the years that followed, law enforcement continued their efforts to find him. In February 2017, more than two years after he was last seen, the police department reached out to the public for assistance, sharing his case on social media and hoping for new information that might shed light on his whereabouts. At the time, authorities stated that they did not suspect foul play in his disappearance, believing his transient life might have been a factor. Despite these efforts and the ongoing investigation, Breaux's case remained unsolved for years, leaving his loved ones without answers. Ultimately, the search for Ronald Brady Breaux came to a sorrowful conclusion. He passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 61. The case, which began with a quiet disappearance in 2014, was marked by a troubling delay in reporting, which complicated the investigation from the start. For years, his status was unknown, with police periodically renewing calls for public assistance as they exhausted all available resources. The lack of suspicion of foul play pointed towards a man who perhaps chose to walk away, a theory supported by his known transient lifestyle. The final resolution, however, confirmed he was deceased, bringing a sad end to a long period of uncertainty for his family and community.
