On April 9, 2015, 41-year-old Brice Edward Holliman of Graham, North Carolina, spent the afternoon with a friend, working on a truck and riding four-wheelers. His friend's home was located in Alamance County, less than half a mile from the residence Brice shared with his family. Sometime between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, Brice rode a four-wheeler to his family's house to see if dinner was ready.
Upon learning that the meal was not yet prepared, he returned to his friend's house on the four-wheeler.
According to his friend, Brice mentioned he had a quick errand to run and would be back in about half an hour. He left his friend's residence between 6:00 PM and 6:15 PM, driving his white 2000 Lexus ES300 with North Carolina license plate CMN-9691. When Brice failed to return for dinner as expected, his family grew concerned and made multiple attempts to contact him by phone, but their calls went unanswered. After three days with no word from Brice, his father reported him missing to the authorities on April 12, 2015.
Nearly a month after he was last seen, on May 4, 2015, Brice Holliman's Lexus was found abandoned next to a creek in Orange County. The discovery of the vehicle only deepened the mystery surrounding his disappearance. The keys were missing from the car, and all the windows, including the sunroof, had been left open. Inside the vehicle, investigators found Brice's cell phone and his Philadelphia Eagles ball cap on the driver's side floorboard. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as being completely bald and clean-shaven, with distinctive tattoos including 'Dirty White Boy' on his back, a Grim Reaper on his chest, and 'Thug' tattooed around his navel. He was last seen wearing a white tank top t-shirt and blue jeans.
