Maria Isabel Elizalde, a 15-year-old girl from Dallas, Texas, disappeared on the evening of November 25, 2015, the day before Thanksgiving. That night, her family was preparing their Thanksgiving meal when Maria and her two younger siblings asked to play outside with some neighbors. The children were last seen playing between 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. While her siblings returned when called, Maria never came back inside and has not been seen since.
At the time of her disappearance, Maria was wearing a blue sweater and jeans, with her hair dyed blue at the ends. Despite past instances of briefly running away, Maria had always returned home before, leading her family to believe something more serious may have happened. Maria had experienced a difficult past, including alleged abuse while living in Mexico, and she had only recently returned to her mother’s care in Dallas. Due to these concerns, her family fears she may be in danger, although Maria's case is officially classified as an endangered runaway.
Her mother, Kathleen Rodriguez, has tirelessly searched for her, even driving through dangerous neighborhoods in hopes of finding clues. To this day, no significant leads have surfaced, and her case remains unsolved. Authorities believe Maria could still be in the Dallas area or nearby locations like Balch Springs or Cedar Hill.
