Katelin Akens, a 19-year-old woman, was last seen on December 5, 2015, while visiting family in Spotsylvania, Virginia. She had been living in Arizona with her fiancée and was scheduled to fly back that day to start cosmetology school. Katelin’s stepfather, James Branton, claimed he dropped her off at a mall near the Franconia-Springfield Metro station, from where she planned to take the Metro to Reagan National Airport.
