Roger Dallen Kimberly, 14, was last seen on June 19, 2016, while aboard a sailboat with his family. Roger, along with his father Ace Kimberly and his two siblings, Donald and Rebecca, set sail from Sarasota, Florida, heading toward Fort Myers to address mechanical issues with their boat. Around 3:00 p.m. on the day of their disappearance, Ace called a family member, reporting that they were about 37 miles off the coast of Englewood, Florida, experiencing rough weather, including thunderstorms
and six-foot waves.
After that call, the family was never heard from again. A few days later, the wreckage of their sailboat was found off the coast of Sanibel Island. Bodies of Ace and Rebecca were recovered, but Roger and his brother Donald were never found and are presumed to have drowned.
