On a late summer evening in Douglasville, Georgia, 42-year-old Dethi Irene Veras-Thornton was spending time with her husband. The couple was shopping at a Walmart on Concourse Parkway. It was around 6:30 p.m. when she was last seen. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a pink short-sleeved shirt with a French Bulldog on it, pink K-Swiss gym shoes, and a green floppy hat adorned with flowers.
