In the late summer of 2016, a 51-year-old man named Robert Deshawn Childers vanished from his home in Florence, Alabama, leaving behind a life in turmoil and a community with lingering questions. On the morning of September 17, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., Childers was last seen leaving his residence located in the 1200 block of Lauderdale County Highway 141.
