Peggy Ann Reed, a 15-year-old girl from Santa Rosa, California, was last seen on March 28, 1974. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly in the area of Guerneville Road and Coddingtown Mall in Sonoma County and may have been hitchhiking. Peggy was wearing a navy blue men's windbreaker, a blue shirt with a floral design, brown dress slacks, and tan heels. She was carrying a small brown leather shoulder purse and occasionally wore glasses with gold metal frames.
