Jesse Edward Markham Jr., 49 years old, was last seen on July 21, 1982, in Palm Beach, Florida. A former Navy pilot known for his daredevil flying, Jesse was an experienced aviator who had worked for the CIA from 1965 to 1975 before taking on freelance jobs. On the day of his disappearance, he departed from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, bound for Atlanta, Georgia, but never arrived at his destination. No trace of him or his plane has ever been found.
