On a spring day in March of 1990, a 28-year-old man named Earl Winfield Sheppard Jr. went on a fishing trip with a friend at a boat landing in Gore, Oklahoma. This outing on March 6, 1990, would be the last time anyone reported seeing Earl. An avid fisherman, Earl was at home on the water, but the day took a tragic turn.
