Adam Emery, a 31-year-old man from Warwick, Rhode Island, vanished on November 10, 1993, the same day he was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of 20-year-old Jason Bass. The incident, which took place in August 1990, stemmed from a case of mistaken identity during a road rage altercation. Emery believed Bass's vehicle had struck his car, but later evidence proved this was incorrect. During the confrontation, Emery fatally stabbed Bass, claiming self-defense during his trial.
